Information / Policy version 2

Cookie policy

No advertising pixels. No embedded analytics. One local preference record.

1. What this policy covers

Cookies are small pieces of information a website can ask your browser to retain. Local storage is a related browser feature that keeps information on your device without automatically attaching it to every web request. The supplied Brimsywonderfl pages use local storage to remember privacy choices. They do not set first-party HTTP cookies or load optional tracking services. This policy describes the code supplied with the site, not undisclosed additions by a hosting platform.

2. Current storage inventory

The table distinguishes necessary preference storage from optional categories. Categories without deployed tools are shown as unused rather than populated with invented cookie names. The local record contains your choice, optional-category flags, a policy version and timestamps. It does not contain a name, email address or visitor identifier.

3. What the buttons do

“Accept All” records acceptance of the displayed categories. “Reject Non-Essential” records that analytics and functional extras are disabled. “Preferences” lets you select optional categories individually; essential preference storage remains enabled. Since no optional services are currently deployed, accepting them does not initiate additional requests or tracking. Any future addition requiring consent must be disclosed and supported by an appropriate consent mechanism before it runs.

You can revisit your decision using the footer’s Cookie preferences button on every page or the button below. Your choice applies to this browser and site origin, not automatically to another device, browser or subdomain. If storage is blocked, the site still works, but it cannot remember your decision on the next page.

4. Browser controls and opt-out

You may remove the stored record by clearing this website’s site data. In Chrome or Edge, open Settings, find the privacy or site-data controls, search for this domain and delete its stored data. In Firefox, use Settings, Privacy & Security, Cookies and Site Data, then Manage Data. In Safari on macOS, use Settings, Privacy, Manage Website Data. Menu wording can vary by version and device.

On mobile browsers, look for website data within browser privacy settings; on iOS, Safari’s settings are managed through the device Settings application. Clearing all cookies and site data may sign you out of unrelated websites. Clearing only this domain is usually more targeted. Private browsing typically removes local preferences when the private session ends. Disabling JavaScript prevents this preference script from running, but does not prevent reading the guides.

5. Third-party websites, images and hosting

Opening an external booking or tourism link takes you to another operator’s website. That operator may set cookies under its own policy and consent process; your selection here is not transferred. We do not embed its booking engine or map. Hosting providers may add technical security features depending on deployment, and a live operator must review and disclose any storage those features introduce. No such provider-specific cookies are asserted in this inventory.

Stock photographs on the home and contact pages are delivered by images.unsplash.com. These are ordinary image requests, not optional analytics or advertising scripts, and they are not controlled by the cookie buttons. The image provider receives technical request information when a photograph loads. Our code does not set cookies for these photographs; any provider-side behaviour must be reviewed as part of a live deployment. Read the privacy policy for details of external image delivery.

6. Questions and updates

For the broader treatment of correspondence and privacy rights, read our privacy policy. The intended privacy contact is [email protected], subject to the deployment and publisher-status disclosures on that page. Changes to deployed storage should result in an updated inventory and policy version or date. A material consent change should also update the preference version so an earlier choice is not silently reused for a different purpose.
